Stuttgart midfielder Berkay Ozcan has revealed that Arsenal have been monitoring his progress over the past couple of seasons.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Bundesliga's most promising midfielders having progressed through the Stuttgart ranks.

Ozcan has been associated with a move to the Emirates for a while, and the Turkey youth international has now confirmed that he is in regular contact with the Gunners.

While Ozcan admits that it is his ambition to represent the Gunners, he is unsure whether it would be the right step at such an early stage of his career.

He told beIN Turkey: "My agent and I are in talks with Arsenal. Arsenal have been scouting me for the past two years and send representatives to watch my games.

"I am not sure if now is the right time to join Arsenal, it may be a bit early for me. I want to prove myself here and keep developing first. Ultimately, Arsenal is the club I want to join in the future, god willing I will achieve my goal."

Despite the hype behind his progress, Ozcan has been restricted to just three outings for Stuttgart- all of which have come from the substitutes' bench.

Arsenal have a good association with Stuttgart having loaned out Takuma Asano for a second straight spell earlier this summer, and this could facilitate any future move for Ozcan.
