David de Gea will sign new contract on one condition
Spain international David de Gea will sign a new contract at Manchester United, provided his contract demands are met.
The 26-year-old joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid back in the summer of 2011, and he has since amassed over 100 clean sheets for the famous old club.
According to The Star, the shot-stopper is waiting for the club's hierarchy to meet his wage demands before committing his future beyond 2019.
De Gea has remained the subject of transfer interest from Real Madrid since his failed move two years ago, and the European champions are still said to be monitoring his situation.
Nevertheless, the report adds that United will eventually get a deal in with De Gea, who could receive a significant hike on his current £190,000-a-week to come on par with the club's highest earners.
United pair Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku currently bag the highest salary package in the Premier League with wages worth £275,000-a-week, as per The Star.
