Turkish giants join race to sign Manchester United defender
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has reportedly been earmarked as a target for Fenerbahce during the January transfer window.
The England international has made just two League Cup appearances for United this term - one of which came in the dying minutes of the Swansea City win last month.
Shaw is alleged to be seeking a temporary move in the New Year, and former club Southampton have already been linked with his services with left-back Ryan Bertrand emerging as a potential target for Manchester City.
According to Fanatik, the Saints are likely to face competition from Fenerbahce who are prepared to assure regular first-team football to Shaw - prior to next year's World Cup.
Shaw is currently out of the national team reckoning under Gareth Southgate, but a regular run of games could enhance his chances of earning a recall in the second half of the season.
The 22-year-old has spent his entire professional career in England, and it will be interesting to see whether he would be tempted by a move to Istanbul in a bid to revive his flagging career.
