Real Madrid planning winter raid for Sergio Aguero?

Aguero emerges as shock January target for Real Madrid

Spanish champions Real Madrid are reportedly planning a winter attempt to sign Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine became the Citizens' all-time leading goalscorer earlier last week after he scored in the 4-2 Champions League win over Napoli.

The 29-year-old has followed it up with a goal in the 3-1 Premier League triumph over Arsenal on Sunday which has taken his overall goal tally to 179.

Despite Aguero's good form, Le 10 Sport suggests that the Argentine is weighing up his future, and he could be lured to Real Madrid during the January transfer window.

The report adds that Los Blancos are looking to add more firepower upfront following their slow start to the season, and president Florentino Perez is confident of pulling off a major coup by bringing Aguero back to Madrid.

Aguero notched 101 goals in all competitions for city rivals Atletico Madrid prior to making his Manchester City move in 2011. He has secured two Premier League titles in his time at the Etihad.
