Ramos ready for Prague

Juande Ramos has informed the press that he is focused on the UEFA Cup and the match with Slavia Prague on Thursday despite Tottenham's upcoming Carling Cup final with Chelsea.

"I am not thinking about the final at the moment," he said yesterday. "I am thinking about the game tomorrow. That is our priority. But basically I say that because the game is being played tomorrow. If you ask me again on Friday then I will tell you that the only important competition is the Carling Cup. And if you ask me again on Monday I will tell you it is the Premier League.

"I am sure the fans will agree with my perspective on this, which is that the next game we have to win is on Thursday. After that the next most important game is on Sunday." It was Spanish-speak for "taking each game as it comes".

"We went into that game trying to win by as many goals as we could," central defender Jonathan Woodgate said. "You could see that by the first-half performance. Then maybe Ramos could rest a few players [for the second leg]. But the tie is still in our hands."
