Robben joins Real Madrid

Real Madrid have purchased Chelsea's Dutch winger Arjen Robben in a deal worth over £22m. The move has doubled Chelsea's £12m they paid for the player from PSV. Robben had been looking for a move to Madrid all summer.
Robben had been stalling over signing a new contract recently despite having over 2 years left on his current deal. Robben became unhappy with the £90,000 on the table and wanted to paid similar wages to that of Terry and Lampard at Chelsea.
Robben has become the eighth signing of the close season for Real, following defenders Heinze, Christoph Metzelder, Pepe, Dutchmen Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe, Argentine striker Javier Saviola and former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek.
Ramon Calderon was a long time admirer of the Dutchman, and was promised to join as part of his presidential election campaign.
