Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign highly-rated Benfica forward Anderson Talisca at the end of the season. The 23-year-old is currently in the final year of his two-season loan with Turkish champions Besiktas.

Talisca has previously been associated with a move to the Premier League, but his chances were hampered due to his failure to qualify for an UK working visa.

Since then, the attacker has transformed into one of Europe's top attacking prospects - contributing 30 goals in just 64 games for Besiktas, and he mostly recently earned his maiden Brazil call-up under Tite.

Manchester United have been touted as favourites to pursue his signature for a while, but according to Fanatik, Liverpool are keen to beat their North-West rivals to the attacker's signature.

Benfica are said to have placed a £35m valuation on the player's head, and this price could rise further, should there be a transfer tussle during the summer.

Championship high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been associated with the 23-year-old, but they could lose out, if one of Liverpool or United make an approach.
