Emre Can makes staggering wage demands for Liverpool stay
Germany international Emre Can is reportedly said to want at least £200,000-a-week in order to commit his future to Liverpool beyond the summer.
The 24-year-old has been in a contract standoff with the Reds over the past nine months, and it now appears that the German is leaning towards a free transfer, unless his demands are met.
Can is currently on a £55,000-a-week package with the Merseyside outfit, and according to The Mirror, he is eyeing nearly four times the package to stay put with the Reds.
Obviously, Jurgen Klopp's side are unlikely to bow to such demands, and it seems likely that the midfielder will pursue a new challenge with Juventus favourites to acquire his signature.
Can was recently called up to the German national side, but he had to pull out of the squad after failing to recover from a back problem sustained on league duty.
