Valencia set £70m price tag for Manchester United midfielder target
Spanish giants Valencia are reportedly reluctant to lose midfielder Carlos Soler during the summer, unless a club is willing to match his contractual release clause.
The 21-year-old, who only signed a new contract last year, has been impressive for Los Che this term, making 28 appearances across all competitions.
According to Super Deporte, Los Che are aware of the impending interest in the midfielder from Europe's elite clubs, but they are unlikely to sanction his sale unless his £70m release clause is triggered.
Manchester United and Real Madrid have been highlighted as the main suitors for the versatile midfielder, but it will be interesting to see whether either side would be willing to spend such the sum on a player, who is in the early stages of his career.
United are expected to look into a replacement for the Michael Carrick who is due to retire at the end of the season. Likewise, Los Blancos are due to strengthen their midfield after an average season in the Spanish La Liga.
