Southampton chase Roger Assale
Southampton are to make a transfer move for Young Boys striker Roger Assale in the summer transfer window. The impressive, powerful forward has caught the eye of the Saints' scouting network; who will now encourage a bid of around £15 million for the player, currently plying his trade in the Swiss leagues.
According to the Daily Mail, the striker who has bagged 33 league goals this season already, is a top target for the Saints and a transfer bid is imminent.
Southampton are confident that they can beat Leicester City to the signing of Assale and have already been in contact with the player's agent and with a deal the promise of regular first team football appears to be on the agenda.
The 24-year-old, 5 foot 6 forward, joined Young Boys from TP Mazembe in the summer and has been a revelation since making a move. The Ivory Coast international has yet to have impressed at international level, but is a regular for the Elephants' first team.
