Nigerian international winger monitored by Arsenal scouts
Arsenal have deployed their top scout to monitor the progress of Nigerian winger Moses Simon. The player, who currently plays for Belgian side Gent having arrived from AS Trencin, has been a first-team regular for Nigeria's national team and the Gunners have been impressed with the 22-year-old's progress.
The player, whose official name is Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon, spent a period of his youth career playing for Dutch club Ajax before making a move to Slovakia. Since then Simon has delivered wherever he has played and is seeking a new challenge in a top European league.
An impressive first season at Gent has been followed up with two years of success and now Simon is widely regarded as one of the best foreign imports in the Belgian Jupiler Division.
Arsenal have recently revamped their scouting network and it is understood that the Nigerian is a personal recommendation of Sven Mislintat, who arrived at the Emirates from Borussia Dortmund as chief scout recently.
