Mourinho looking for long-term Valencia replacement

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified the need for a new right-back with Antonio Valencia approaching the final years of his playing career.

Valencia, 33, has been a solid performer for United over the years but the Portuguese is seemingly looking to add competition for places ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

According to The Guardian, United have begun their search for a suitable long-term replacement for Valencia and the same goes for Ashley Young, who has been occupying the left side of the defence.

Any new arrivals, however, are expected to coincide with potential departures with Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian all being linked with possible exits from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are currently aiming to finish second in the Premier League standings and for this, they need to pick up a maximum of seven points from their remaining fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Mancunian giants are also into the final of the FA Cup and they will be eyeing to win the famous old competition for the second time in three seasons.
