Newcastle boss confident on transfer targets
Rafa Benitez is confident that Newcastle will be able to compete in the upcoming transfer window. This season will be the first time that the window is shortened under new Premier League rules.
Newcastle, who have had an impressive season under manager Rafa Benitez, has instructed his club to search for new players ahead of next season and is confident the club will be able to attract new signings.
When asked if he thought the window would be difficult for Newcastle due to the shortened time, Benitez quipped: “Not really. It’s totally different to the others, but at the same time, you have an advantage.”
“Your players now have more experience in the Premier League, whereas in the past, you were looking for players with experience in the Premier League.”
“Now you have a lot of them who have already experience.”
“So you can look for different targets because in the end, some of those players you already have you know they will do well.”
“You had three months to do whatever you want to do; now you have two months. You can do whatever you want in two months.”
