Fabregas does not believe Salah will leave Liverpool this summer

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes Mohamed Salah will be going nowhere when the season comes a close. The Egypt international has been in stupendous form during his debut season for Liverpool and he has amassed 42 goals to date.

Speaking in an interview with Cadena COPE, Fabregas was full of praise for his ex-teammate and highlighted the confidence instilled into him by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

Salah's form has attracted plenty of speculated interest from Real Madrid of late, but Fabregas does not feel any side would be able to prise away the forward from Anfield this summer.

"Right now if you are Liverpool and considering the season he has had, I don't know how much you can ask for a player like him," he told the Spanish radio station.

"I doubt that there is a club that can pay what Liverpool would ask for Salah. I'm sure Liverpool will not let him go easily. It's hard to see Salah leaving Liverpool, at least this year."

Salah has already created the record of scoring for the most number of Premier League games in a single season and he now has the opportunity of surpassing the 34-goal tally - jointly held by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.
