Liverpool assistant Zeljko Buvac falls out with Klopp amidst Arsenal move rumour
Liverpool's first-team assistant manager Zeljko Buvac has reportedly fallen out with Anfield manager Jurgen Klopp and will spend time away from the team until the end of the season. The news comes amidst a report from Germany that Buvac could be lined up as Arsenal's new assistant manager for the 2018-19 campaign.
Buvac will not be on the bench alongside long-term managerial partner Jurgen Klopp for Liverpool's crucial second-leg Champions League semi-final against AS Roma in Italy this week. A report initially indicated that Buvac had left Liverpool after falling out with Klopp; but this has been since retracted by the club, who insist that he will simply not be a part of the first-team coaching staff for the remainder of the season.
The news is sure to interest many, with Klopp having linked up with Buvac for more than 17 years so far; when Buvac became Klopp's assistant at Mainz in Germany.
In a late twist to the tale, it is now rumoured that Arsenal could bring in Buvac as an assistant to their new manager, with Buvac touted as a possible replacement for Steve Bould as part of a new look coaching squad for next campaign.
It is understood that Klopp is furious that Buvac is considering leaving the club and as yet no confirmation has come from either club that Buvac will be departing Anfield.
