Jose Mourinho issues worrying fitness update on Lukaku

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has refused to confirm whether Romelu Lukaku will be involved in the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Belgium international has not featured for the Red Devils since picking up an ankle injury versus Arsenal in April but he has reported to training ahead of the Wembley showpiece.

Speaking in his news conference, Mourinho admitted that Lukaku is still doubtful for the encounter and the Belgian may probably have a late fitness test ahead of the game.

He told reporters, via M.E.N: "We have to wait until the last moment. I don't want to lie to you and say he doesn't play and then he plays, or vice versa - so we have to wait."

Without Lukaku, United have struggled to find the scoresheet on a regular basis and they managed to net just once during the final three games of the Premier League season.

The Belgian put in a man of the match performance as he bagged a goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Chelsea in February and the supporters will surely hope that he can be involved in the Cup final in some capacity.
