Thibaut Courtois updates on his Chelsea future
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has remained silent over his Blues future beyond the summer of 2019. The Belgium international was part of the Blues' side which clinched the FA Cup title over Manchester United on Saturday but he refused to clarify on his contract situation thereafter.
Speaking after the game, Courtois highlighted that he would remain a Chelsea player next term, though he refused to confirm talks over a probable extension, he said: "We'll see after the World Cup whether I am a Chelsea player for next year. You see how Manchester City and Manchester United are spending and working."
Courtois has previously indicated that he is committed to the Blues for the final year of his contract next season but the club may consider his probable sale amid interest from the likes of Real Madrid.
The European champions have supposedly earmarked Courtois as their prime target with a deal for Manchester United's David de Gea no longer feasible and they are likely to make a summer approach.
