Chelsea enter race to sign AS Monaco star
Chelsea have reportedly joined the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in the pursuit of AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar this summer.
The 22-year-old has been associated with a possible exit from Stade Louis II over the past year and he appears likely to leave the club in the current transfer window.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have regularly been linked with the former Caen man but according to L'Equipe, the Blues have now emerged as possible destination for the France international.
The 22-year-old starred for Monaco during their title-winning 2016/17 campaign where he contributed nine goals and 10 assists. However, he could not maintain a similar showing last term where he was restricted to just two goals and eight assists.
Nonetheless, he is said to be on demand with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid also vying for his signature. Lemar, who has been picked in France's World Cup squad, has just two years left on his existing deal at Monaco.
