'It is not over!', Nabil Fekir's agent responds to failed Liverpool move
The representative of Nabil Fekir has said that the Frenchman could yet make a move to Liverpool this summer. The Lyon attacker came on the cusp of sealing his switch to Anfield but the move broke down at the final hurdle amid the Reds' concern over his injury record.
Since then, Fekir has been with the France national side for the summer World Cup but his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes has refused to rule out a fresh round of discussions between the clubs, he told La Chaine Info: "He didn't sign because uh, it is not over! This is not the end of the story."
Liverpool had agreed on a £53m deal for Fekir earlier in the month and the attacker had even undergone his medical and had a photoshoot in the club's new home kit.
However, the concerns over his recent injury record urged the Reds to try to lower the transfer fee and this is said to be the prime reason behind Lyon ending the negotiations.
Of late, Fekir has been offered to the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur and Les Gones are said to demand at least £66m for their captain this time around.
