Manchester City enter race to sign French defender

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Stuttgart defender, Benjamin Pavard, according to Suddeutsche Zeitung.
Pavard has come into international attention with his performance in the ongoing World Cup in Russia.
He raised eyebrows after he scored a stunning goal from outside the 18 yards box in France's 4-3 win over Argentina in the second round. He is a versatile player that can play in a variety of defensive positions. He can also play as a midfielder.
Arsenal, Tottenham, and Napoli have all been linked with the former Lille defender.
The defender was also in action as France defeated Uruguay by two goals to nothing to reach the semi-final of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
No price tag has been placed on the defender, but if he continues to perform for his national side as they advance in Russia, his value will surely rise astronomically.
As football fans have seen in recent years, City, backed by their Abu Dhabi owners are more than capable of buying any player in the world.
