Liverpool to announce their fourth summer signing
Liverpool have reportedly agreed on a package to acquire the services of Alisson Becker from AS Roma. The Brazil international has already made his way to England via a private jet and a medical is scheduled to happen in the coming days.
According to Sky Sports News, the Reds have finally found the breakthrough in the pursuit of Becker, who has been on their radar for the past couple of months.
It is added that the Reds will pay a record £67m fee for a goalkeeper to sign Alisson and this would break the £34.7m sum Manchester City paid for Ederson last summer.
The wages on offer are yet to be disclosed but reports suggest that the Brazilian will pen a five-year contract with the Reds before taking up the role between the sticks.
Alisson's arrival is likely to hamper the position of one of Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet, though the latter looks the most likely to part ways with the Merseyside giants.
