Man City wonderkid makes move to Girona
Manchester City have agreed a loan deal for star youngster Patrick Roberts and the player will head to Spain on a season long loan deal, joining La Liga minnows Girona. Roberts had spent last season on loan at Scottish champions Celtic and impressed during his stay north of the border.
Helping Celtic to multiple titles appears to have not been enough to persuade Man City manager Pep Guardiola to keep Roberts on the books for this season though and now the 21-year-old will head to Spain for the year.
The former Fulham striker arrived at Man City in a £15 million deal and is still believed to have a big future at the City of Manchester Stadium.
While at Celtic, Roberts played 79 appearances in two and a half years.
A statement on the Man City website read: "
The winger signed for City from Fulham in the summer of 2015 and made his Blues debut as a second-half substitute in a 4-1 win away at Sunderland a few weeks later. He played two more matches in quick succession, before going on loan to Celtic for 18 months.
His form in Glasgow was impressive. By the end of his first six months, Roberts had an SPL title to his name, and his first full season ended with a superb domestic treble as Celtic went the entire campaign unbeaten."
