Ruben Loftus-Cheek heading for Chelsea exit?
Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has reportedly decided to pursue a temporary move away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes across Europe.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2017/18 season on loan with Crystal Palace which earned him a spot with England at the World Cup, but he nevertheless appears out of contention under Maurizio Sarri.
A recent report suggested that Loftus-Cheek may decline a loan move in order to prove himself under the new manager but The Times suggests that this may not be the case following his exclusion from the Arsenal game.
As per the publication, Loftus-Cheek is keen to push through a temporary exit to either Spain, Germany or Italy, should Sarri refuse to give him assurances of gametime during the ongoing campaign.
Loftus-Cheek, who has three years remaining on his existing Chelsea contract, has made just 33 appearances for the club throughout his career. He has, however, earned eight caps with the England national team.
