Leroy Sane fighting for his Manchester City future
Germany international Leroy Sane could reportedly be fighting for his Manchester City future after being excluded from the matchday squad for the recent league meeting versus Newcastle United.
Sane had a disappointing summer whereby he was excluded from the World Cup squad with Germany and things have since not gone as planned with him struggling to secure a starting role.
Speaking after City's triumph over Newcastle, Guardiola confirmed that Sane was left out of the 18-man squad after he failed to convince him in training and The Sun now suggests that the German faces a battle to win over his position.
Sane was named the PFA's Young Player of the Year last term after contributing 10 goals and 15 assists in the top-flight but he has yet to make a meaningful impact for the Citizens this term.
The German has made just three substitute appearances for the Citizens this season which have lasted less than 50 minutes and in this period, he has failed to contribute a goal or an assist.
