Lindelof reveals what United were lacking against Wolves

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has said that the Old Trafford side lacked the killer instinct in their 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.

After three consecutive wins, Jose Mourinho's men could not make it four as João Moutinho's second half strike cancelled Fred's 18 minute opener.

Speaking to MUTV, the Swede said: “We tried, they defended well and they really fought well out there. I think we lacked a little thing in the end, you know the killer instinct in the box. But like I said it wasn’t our day today."

Despite starting a strong side, United could not consistently display clever attacking play, and were regularly snuffed out in the final third.

Lindelof has started Manchester United's last four games, partnering Chris Smalling in the center of defence.

In those four games, United have conceded just twice, a significant improvement from their opening three games of the season where they let in seven.

Up next for United is a home game against Derby County in the Carabao Cup next Tuesday.
