Declan Rice offered new West Ham deal
West Ham have made a final offer to contract rebel Declan Rice in the hope that the young midfielder will finally agree to stay at the Hammers beyond the expiry of his contract, this coming summer. The highly-rated talent has been linked with a Bosman free transfer move away and West Ham have pulled out all of the stops to keep Rice with the club.
The superb midfielder is currently earning just £2,500 per week and manager Manuel Pellegrini is prepared to offer £40,000 per week to keep the 19-year-old with the club.
Rice has emerged from the youth side to the first-team in recent seasons and has filled an important gap in midfield that the club had hoped to occupy with a new signing.
It is understood that Chelsea and Man Utd had been monitoring Declan's contractural situation very closely in anticipation of making a free transfer move in the summer of 2019 and the two clubs will be disappointed to hear that Rice now looks set to stay with the Irons for the time being.
