Manchester United quoted £40m fee for Serbian defender
Manchester United have reportedly been told to pay a fee of around £40m by Fiorentina, if they are to prise away Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic at the turn of the year.
United boss Jose Mourinho was recently in the stands to watch the central defender in action in the UEFA Nations League and the Portuguese is said to have been impressed with what he saw of the Serbian.
As such, there have already been reports indicating that United are prepared to lodge a winter approach but The Sun claims that they won't get the defender on the cheap.
It is added that La Viola are demanding a minimum package of at least £40m and they may not be persuaded to reduce the fee with Juventus also interested in the player.
Milenkovic joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2017 and he has since amassed over 25 appearances for the club. He has also managed eight caps for Serbia in the same period.
