Jurgen Klopp confirms key injury blow for Red Star Belgrade clash
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that skipper Jordan Henderson will miss the Champions League clash against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night.
The England international was substituted midway through the Reds game against Huddersfield with a concern regarding his hamstring and Klopp has now confirmed that there is an issue with the fitness of the club-captain.
Speaking ahead of the midweek game, Klopp admitted that Henderson is out of contention and he could also miss the weekend clash against Cardiff City in the Premier League.
"It's not too good, to be honest. It's nothing we have to worry too much about, but it's a hamstring issue so we will have to see. He will not be available for tomorrow for sure, and probably not Cardiff," he is quoted as saying by Metro.
Liverpool have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their Premier League season but their form has not translated into the Cup and European competitions where they have already suffered a couple of defeats.
