According to reports going on in the media, Manchester United are interested in agreeing new deals with few of their players. Red Devils will soon offer a new deal to French playmaker Anthony Martial.

Now, as per ESPN, the Old Trafford club are edging closer to agreeing a new deal with Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera, whose current contract will expire next summer and at the moment, he earns around £75,000-a-week.

The former Monaco player was mainly a bench warmer last season but this season, he has turned things around by scoring 3 goals in his last 2 PL games and perhaps deserves to get a new contract.

However, as far as the former Athletic Bilbao player is concerned, Mourinho only started him 13 times in the league last season. Moreover, in the current campaign, so far, he has only played for 147 minutes in all competitions (starts and 4 apps).

The Portuguese boss has preferred the likes of Matic, Fred and Pogba in his midfield and even the likes of Fellaini and McTominay have played more minutes than Herrera.

As per the provided ESPN link, Herrera wants to stay at Man United but in all fairness, the 29-year-old Spaniard should move away from the club to get regular first team football and Mourinho really does not need to agree a new deal with him.
