David de Gea updates over his Manchester United future

De Gea unperturbed by contract situation

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has highlighted that he is not concerned by his contract situation at Old Trafford and would rather concentrate on the job at hand.

Earlier on Friday, United boss Jose Mourinho indicated that he is not confident of keeping De Gea at the Theatre of Dreams and the Spaniard could leave the club in the near future.

However, when asked on the same, the shot-stopper has refused to discuss on his future while indicating that he is focused on the forthcoming fixture for his side.

"What matters is focusing on football. We have an important game against Everton and we have some big fixtures over the coming months," he told Sky Sports.

De Gea, who has been the club's Player of the Year in four of the previous five seasons, currently has just eight months left on his current deal. United, however, have a 12-month extension clause on his contract which may be triggered.
