Tottenham Hotspur midfielder wanted at Juventus?

Dembele attracting Juventus interest

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly considering a January move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is understood to be keen to bolster his midfield options at the turn of the year, having seen Sami Khedira and Emre Can suffer injury problems so far this term.

According to Corriere di Torino, the Italian champions find themselves with just three fit central midfielders and Allegri is concerned about the situation getting worse in the forthcoming months.

It is added that Dembele has been earmarked as a probable target to ease the woes as he is likely to be available on a cut-price deal when the transfer window reopens.

The Belgian has been in a contract standoff with Spurs over the past 12 months and the club could be tempted to sanction his sale in the New Year with his current deal expiring in eight months' time.

At present, Dembele is free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club in January but Juventus could be prepared to beat other suitors by acquiring his signature mid-season.
