Chelsea weighing up bid for Barcelona midfielder

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a move to sign Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez, who is considering his future with Barcelona.

The 24-year-old has struggled for gametime under Ernesto Valverde this term and he has been restricted to just appearances in the Copa del Rey so far.

Amidst this, there are already suggestions that he could pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere and according to Marca, the Blues could make an approach to sign him in the New Year.

Aside from Chelsea, AC Milan are also weighing up a possible move for the former Villareal man, though they may only fancy a loan switch amid their recent financial constraints.

Chelsea recently dropped to the third position in the Premier League standings after they played out a rather frustrating 0-0 draw against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The stalemate sees them now third in the standings, four points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, who picked up a 3-1 triumph over Manchester City over the weekend.
