Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal keen on Manchester United defender
Manchester United defender Phil Jones has reportedly been earmarked as a surprise transfer option for Premier League duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Jones' current deal at United is scheduled to expire at the end of the season but the club are widely expected to trigger an extension clause to prolong his stay by a further 12 months.
Despite this, TalkSPORT claims that the Englishman may eventually part ways with the Mancunian giants next summer with Arsenal and Spurs vying for his signature.
Jones has managed just two appearances for United this term and this has largely come about from fitness issues and poor form during the opening months of the campaign.
United are currently reluctant to sell Jones to a top-six Premier League rival, though they may not have much influence on his destination, if a new contract is not sorted in the near future.
Jones has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2011 and over the past seven years, he has racked nearly 200 appearances for the club across all competitions.
