Chelsea manager urges club to sign Napoli right-back
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to make an approach to sign Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj at the turn of the year.
The Albania international has already worked with Sarri at both Empoli and Napoli and he was touted as a possible option for the Blues during the summer.
According to Telesport, the west London giants could make a winter approach for the right-sided defender with Sarri keen to add more reinforcements in January.
It is added that Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis would be open to the move amid the player's wage increase demands but the club may still resist the option of a mid-season sale.
The Naples outfit are understood to have a keen eye on Red Bull Salzburg's Stefan Lainer whom they could attempt to recruit as a potential replacement for Hysaj.
Chelsea have remained winless in the Premier League for the past two matches but they could end the streak when they face Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
