Italian legend fancies Arsenal midfielder to succeed at Juventus

Italian legend Andrea Pirlo has backed Aaron Ramsey to become a successful player with Juventus, should the Bianconeri manage to pursue his services from Arsenal.

The Wales international has just six months remaining on his existing deal with the Gunners and an extension appears unlikely after the club recently rescinded a contract offer on the table.

As such, Ramsey has been touted for a potential departure from the Emirates as early as the winter transfer window with Juventus being among the favourites to sign him.

Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, Pirlo hailed the qualities of the Welshman and stated that the midfielder could be a great purchase for the Bianconeri with his tendency to contribute to the scoresheet.

"He is a talented player. He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything. And he scores a lot. Ramsey is a great purchase. Juventus are preparing another excellent deal. He is a strong player and could do very well." he said.

Ramsey featured for the entire 90 minutes of the recent Premier League game versus Liverpool where the Gunners suffered a damaging 5-1 defeat. The result sees them two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea after having played an extra game.
