Chelsea prioritise signing of Argentine striker
Chelsea have reportedly prioritised the signing of Gonzalo Higuain on a temporary basis before the close of the winter transfer window.
The Argentine joined the Rossoneri on a two-year loan from Juventus last summer but he has since struggled with just six goals in the current season.
Amidst this, he has been fancied to part ways with the Milan giants but so far, there has been no indication that the Rossoneri would terminate his loan contract.
According to The Sun, the Blues are still optimistic of securing the signature of the former Napoli man with Maurizio Sarri keen on a reunion with the experienced marksman.
It is added that the west London giants are expected to hold separate negotiations with both Milan and Juventus regarding the same and they remain hopeful of pushing through a temporary move for the season.
Chelsea are currently three points ahead of Arsenal for the final Champions League spot but they have the chance to extend the gap this weekend with the Gunners having lost their recent game at West Ham United.
