Hibernian continue good form with 2-0 win over Kilmarnock; Aberdeen ease to victory over wounded Gretna; St Mirren and Hearts play out a drab 1-1 draw; Falkirk grab a tight win in Inverness.

Hibs pushed past Dundee Utd and Motherwell into 3rd place in the SPL table after a comfortable 2-0 victory over struggling Kilmarnock. After a long hit up field from Jones, Nish headed the ball down to Felipe Morais, who burst past the defence before slotting home. The win was sealed in the second half when Steven Fletcher ran onto a through ball before shooting home past Alan Combe in goal.

Up in Aberdeen, a weakened Gretna side were put to the sword by 3 goals to nil thanks to strikes from Chris Maguire, Lee Miller and Barry Nicholson. 5 minutes before half-time, Maguire's shot from 12 yards gave the Dons the lead, and on 70 minutes Miller's penalty double that advantage. Nicholson's superb long-range goal completed the victory over a Gretna side who showed remarkable fight for a team destined for relegation.

Hearts grabbed a 1-1 draw against St Mirren after Saul Mikoliunas scored a late equaliser with a great drive from just outside the box. The Saints had taken the lead after 58 minutes; Jim Hamilton finishing tidyly from Dargo's knockdown. But the Edinburgh club got the result they deserved when Mikoliunas struck with 5 minutes remaining.

The final game between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Falkirk was a dull affair involving just a solitary goal for the away side. It came from Billy Clarke tap-in just a few minutes from time after Latapy broke away from midfield. It was harsh on the Highlanders who were deserving of at least a point, and seem now confined to the bottom six of the table.
