Chelsea enter the race to sign emerging Roma star
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to fight it out with Juventus for the services of Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma during this summer's transfer window.
The teenager has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with Roma this term and he has contributed four goals and two assists since the turn of the year.
According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are making strides towards signing the young Italian with chief-executive Fabio Paratici holding talks with the player's representative.
However, the Serie A holders are not alone in the player's pursuit and they could face stiff competition from the Blues, who are willing to match the forward's £43m valuation this summer.
Chelsea have gone through a mixed run of form across all competitions but they have managed to progress to the Europa League round of 16 stage after a 5-1 aggregate triumph over Malmo.
Next up, they are scheduled to face Manchester City in the weekend's League Cup final and they can expect a stiff challenge after the 6-0 mauling at the Etihad earlier in the month.
