Everton make official approach for Paris Saint-Germain star
Everton are understood to have stepped up their interest in Thomas Meunier by making an official approach to sign him from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.
The Belgium international is currently in his third season with the French champions where he has impressed with 11 goals from83 appearances in all competitions.
Despite this, the Belgian has been reluctant to extend his contract beyond June 2020 amid the reduced gametime in the French league and Le10Sport reports that the Toffees are aiming to take advantage of the situation.
It is added that the club have made a formal enquiry regarding the right- back's availability as they seek to pursue a replacement for Seamus Coleman, who has shown a dip in form in the current campaign.
Meunier has previously indicated that he would welcome the prospect of playing for the Merseyside outfit and this should hand Everton with a boost in luring him to Goodison Park in four months' time.
