Manchester United express interest in signing AC Milan captain?
Manchester United are reportedly among the high-profile teams who have expressed an interest in signing Alessio Romagnoli from AC Milan in the summer.
The Mancunian giants have been linked with numerous centre-backs in the past six months with the club likely to strengthen the heart of the defence ahead of next season.
According to Calciomercato, United have begun to monitor the proceedings of Romagnoli, who has enjoyed an impressive campaign with the San Siro outfit.
The Italian has made a total of 23 starts in Serie A and the Europa League this term, and he has played his part in the Rossoneri closing the gap to third-placed Inter Milan in the league standings.
He currently has more than three years remaining on his deal with the club but the ongoing concerns with the Financial Fair Play may tempt Milan to accept big-money offers for his services this summer.
Aside from United, long-time admirers Chelsea and Juventus are understood to be keeping tabs on the Italian, who is currently the first-choice captain for Gennaro Gattuso's side.
