Manchester United enter race to sign Belgian attacker
Manchester United are set to battle Arsenal in the race to sign Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from Dalian Yifang in the summer.
The Belgium international made the surprise move to the Chinese Super League from Atletico Madrid 13 months ago and he has since fared impressively with 10 goals and six assists across all competitions.
Despite this, he has personally acknowledged that he would prefer a return to Europe in the summer after failing to do so with the Gunners at the turn of the year.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils are lurking in the background and could seek to compete with the Gunners for the former Atletico ace.
Carrasco had been widely fancied to join the Gunners in an initial loan move in January but the deal never materialised with Dalian making it clear that he would not be sold.
The attacker has begun the current Chinese Super League season in fine form with three goals and an assist from just two games. This has, however, not enhanced his gametime with the Belgian national team.
