Wolves are hopeful that a deal can be agreed to bring striker Raul Jimenez to Molineux on a permanent transfer. Jimenez has been in sensational goalscoring form so far this season and is currently at Wolves on a loan package.

Wolves manager Nuno has been locked in talks regarding the long-term future of Jimenez and told reporters today of the striker's situation: “It is the same situation. We know we have time to make a decision.

“We are very happy with Raul with his performances, so when things are done, there will be an announcement.”

Jimenez has captured the attention of supporters all over the Premier League, bagging 15 goals so far this season and many anticipate he will finish the league season with even more.

Benfica, Jimenez's parent club, are demanding a fee of around £25 million to sell the Mexican international and also have received interest from numerous Italian clubs and Spanish clubs in the player. It is understood both Sampdoria and Fiorentina are tracking the forward, whilst in Spain, Valencia have deployed their chief scout to Molineux in recent weeks.
