Arsenal boss hints at Denis Suarez start vs Newcastle United

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has hinted that Denis Suarez could be handed his maiden start for the Gunners when they host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday night.

The north London side were recently in a warm weather training camp in Dubai where Suarez starred in a mid-season friendly against Al Nasr by providing an assist in a 3-2 triumph.

Speaking ahead of the Magpies game, Emery has acknowledged that Suarez has a chance of making his first competitive start for the Gunners since his winter loan move from Barcelona.

"He is okay for starting in the first XI, to give us this impact. We are going to need everybody, every player for the next matches. We decided to go away to train for four days and play a match in Dubai. But it's the same idea, the same spirit," he told Arsenal.com.

Suarez has managed just six substitute appearances since his mid-season move from the Camp Nou. Out of those, four of them have been in the Premier League with a total of just 67 minutes on the field.
