Chelsea interested in signing Bayern Munich forward?
Premier League giants Chelsea are understood to have made contact with the representative of Robert Lewandowski regarding a potential move away from Bayern Munich in the summer.
The 30-year-old has spent the past four-and-a-half seasons with the Bavarian giants and he recently notched his 200th goal for the club in the German top-flight.
Despite this, there has been regular speculation regarding his future with the club and The Mirror claims that the Blues have opened a dialogue with the player's entourage regarding a winter switch.
The Blues pursued the services of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus on loan in January to sort out their striker concerns, but the Argentine has so far struggled with just three goals across all competitions.
As such, they are likely to decline the chance to sign Higuain on a permanent basis in the summer, and this could see them make an approach for Lewandowski, who is said to be valued at around £70m.
Chelsea are currently banned from signing players for the next two transfer windows, but they remain optimistic of freezing the ban for the short term either through FIFA or the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
