Brendan Rodgers wants Liverpool star at Leicester City
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on pursuing the services of Daniel Sturridge when his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season
The 29-year-old is due to become a free agent in two months' time and the Reds have shown little indication that an extension could be offered to the England international.
As such, Sturridge has already been linked with a potential switch to the MLS but according to The Sun, he could be offered the chance to stay put in the Premier League with the Foxes.
Rodgers worked together with Sturridge at Anfield and the duo came close to winning the English top-flight during the 2013/14 campaign where the Reds slipped up at the final hurdle.
Sturridge has largely been a squad player for the Reds this term and that has resulted from the fitness concerns which have hampered him in the past few seasons.
He has netted just 10 times din the past three seasons, but he remains an attractive option, given he would be available on a Bosman move when the campaign concludes.
