Calabria wanted at United?

Manchester United are reportedly looking into a move for AC Milan's Davide Calabria as they seek to strengthen the right side of the defence ahead of next season.

United are widely expected to pursue another right-sided defender in the summer with skipper Antonio Valencia set to leave the club while Ashley Young has struggled in the position of late.

Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Paris Saint-Germain's Thomas Meunier have been among the names touted to make the switch to Old Trafford but Calciomercato claims that Calabria is the prime target.

The same publication suggests that United are eager for Calabria to turn down a new deal with the Rossoneri and push through a move to the Premier League ahead of the 2019/2020 season.

Calabria, who has three years remaining on his Rossoneri deal, has made 32 appearances for the San Siro side in all competitions this term. He could provide direct competition to Diogo Dalot for the right-back spot next season.
