Arsenal boss speaks on top-four hopes ahead of weekend clash
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has indicated that the Gunners still have the chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League despite suffering back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The north London side are currently one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the standings and they are scheduled to face another testing trip to Leicester City at the weekend.
In a report covered by Sky Sports, Emery indicated that the club can still secure their objective for the campaign so long as they can recover and finish the season on a high.
"We lost in our hands the chance for fourth but we can also recover this opportunity We have lost opportunities in the last two matches, losing to Crystal Palace and here (at Wolves) but the last three games we play in the league we have opportunities," he said.
London rivals Chelsea currently have the point advantage over Arsenal in the race for the fourth spot, but the Blues have a tough looking challenge against Manchester United on the road on Sunday.
Prior to that, the Gunners will play their game against Leicester City in a lunch-time kick-off and the failure to pick up three points could pretty much end their Champions League qualifying prospects through the league.
