Ajax star's agent wants him to join Manchester United?

Super-agent Mino Raiola is reportedly keen on Matthijs de Ligt making the switch to Manchester United from Ajax during the summer transfer window.

The Netherlands international has established himself one of the world's most-sought after defenders and his progress over the past three years has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, his representative Raiola is keen on him making the potential switch to Old Trafford as it makes more financial sense than pursuing a move to the Camp Nou.

Still, the Catalan giants are said to hold the advantage in the pursuit with the teenager keen on working alongside Lionel Messi while his current Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong has already agreed to join them in the summer.

De Ligt recently starred for Ajax during the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur on the road where they secured a hard-fought 1-0 triumph.
