Arsenal keen on signing Brazilian starlet?
Arsenal have reportedly made contact with the representative of Sao Paulo youngster Antony regarding a potential move during the summer.
The north London side are almost unlikely to make the top four of the league this term and this is expected to encourage Unai Emery to rebuild the squad ahead of next season.
According to The Express, the Spanish tactician may have to work with a limited budget for the summer and the focus could lie on pursuing players, who can develop into top-class prospects.
It is added that Antony has been earmarked as one of the suitable targets and the north London side have made the move to contact agent Junior Pedroso, who is currently in Europe.
Sao Paolo have placed a £42m release clause in the teenager's contract but reports indicate that the club could accept around half of the valuation for the youngster's sale this summer.
Aside from Antony, the Gunners have been tipped to sign Gabriel Martinelli from Brazilian side Ituano, and reports indicate that they are close to announcing the deal with a work permit being sorted.
