Manchester United make contact for Serie A goalkeeper

Gianluigi Donnarumma news

United want Donnarumma?

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with the representative of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with a view to securing his services this summer.

The Italy international has been touted to part ways with the Rossoneri in the past few seasons and reports indicate that he could leave the San Siro outfit this summer amid their concerns with the Financial Fair Play.

According to Corriere della Sera, the Red Devils are understood to have approached super-agent Raiola to discuss the availability of Donnarumma during the summer transfer window.

The same publication claims that the club are assessing the future of goalkeeper David de Gea, whose contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the campaign.

The Spaniard has been attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the past few months but it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to match United's £60m asking price.

United have been reluctant to match De Gea's £350,000-a-week demands over the past year and reports indicate that there has been no breakthrough with regards to the same.
